Dana Bleifer, DVM
Dr.Dana Bleifer, DVM Dana Bleifer is the owner and a general practitioner with a special interest in reproduction. She attended the University of California at Davis for both undergraduate studies and post-graduate Veterinary school. She pursued post-graduate studies at the University of Agricultural Sciences, in Upsala, Sweden and the University of Georgia. Dr. Bleifer raises and shows her own Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and Holsteiner horses with her husband, Pano Fragoulis.

Terrie Johnson, DVM
Dr. Terrie Johnson, DVMTerrie Johnson is a general practitioner with a special interest in reproduction. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California at Davis. Dr. Johnson breeds Golden Retrievers that she shows in conformation and handles in agility and field trials. She is consistently incorporating holistic medicine into veterinary practice.

 

Shalein Bonney, DVM
Dr. Shalein Dr. BonneyBonney earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University, where she also earned a Bachelor of Science in Equine Reproduction and Microbiology. Her special interests are canine reproduction and the giant breeds. Dr. Bonney breeds and shows Great Danes.

 

Kamaryn Casey, DVM
Dr. Dr. CaseyKamaryn Casey is a general practitioner with a special interest in reproduction who came to Rose City in June 2008. She attended UC Santa Barbara where she received her BS in Zoology. She then went to Veterinary School at Western University of Health Sciences in California. Dr. Casey enjoys traveling and outdoor activities such as hiking, scuba diving, fishing, and flying trapeze. She has a retriever/shepherd mix named Otis.

Karen Jones
Karen Karencame to Rose City as Office Manager in April 2007, after a career in Retail Advertising. Since she loves cats and dogs, (especially any kind of Terrier!), she has definitely found her niche! She has two dogs of her own - Riley, a terrier/poodle mix, and a very bossy Yorkshire Terrier, Gypsy. In her spare time she likes to read mysteries and watch old movies.

 

Stacy Hidalgo
StacStacyy, our Head Receptionist, has been at Rose City since February, 2006. When Stacy is not at the Hospital, she is usually indulging her favorite pastime.... shopping! Stacy has a black cat, Burrito, and a Yorkshire Terrier, Sweet Pea, aka Dooderoo. Sweet Pea is the front office mascot, (when she behaves). Stacy’s favorite dog is the Australian Shepherd, but she also loves Polar Bears and Penguins.

Angela Drewitz
Angela, Angelaone of our Front Office Receptionists, has been at Rose City since May, 2008. When she’s not at the hospital, she keeps busy with her two daughters, Taylor, who’s 8, and Emma, who’s 4. She gets lots of help from her boyfriend, Ray! Angela has two Dalmatians, Roxie and Daisy, so it’s no surprise that Dalmatian is her favorite breed – but monkeys come in a close second!

Jessica Hunter
Jessica has been with Rose City since December 2008. In her spare time Jessica enjoys going to the beach, and taking her dog and bearded dragon to the park. She also enjoys going to the gym. When she is not at work, she spends as much time as possible with her reptiles. Jessica has 2 snakes, 40 geckos, 2 bearded dragons and 1 Argentine Black & White Tegu. She also has a pit bull/lab mix named Brinn and 3 cats - Calamity, Belle and Kennedy.

Annette Monugian
Annette Annetteis our Head RVT. She earned an AS in Animal Health Technologies at Mt. San Antonio College, and has been at Rose City since the hospital opened in 2002. Annette raises and shows Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. In her spare time, she teaches agility and obedience training, and also spends as much time working in her garden as possible.

 

Jennifer Hodan
Jenn Jen H.has been at Rose City since February 2007. She attended Mt. San Antonio College, earning an AS in Animal Health Technologies and recently earned her RVT license. Her hobbies include camping, softball, movies, and going to the beach. Jenn has a female cat, Oreo, and Honey – a Shar/Pei/Golden Retriever mix with very hairy feet. Her favorite breed is the Labrador Retriever, and she also likes panthers and polar bears.

Mya Suryan
Mya Mayahas been a Veterinary Technician for 8 years, and at Rose City since May 2005. She has 2 cats, Phoebe and Al, and two tiger salamanders, Mr. Bing and Joey. Mya also loves dogs! French Bulldogs, Bull Terriers, English Bulldogs, and pugs are her favorites. Mya likes sea turtles, but her absolute favorite animal is the Maine Coon Cat. When not at Rose City, Mya enjoys horseback riding, fishing, and swimming.

Dani Overton
Dani Daniis our Head Reproduction Technician. Dani has worked with animals since she was 15, having volunteered at Pasadena Humane Society and other Veterinary Hospitals. She has been with Rose City since December 2004. Dani has no pets of her own, but her favorite dog breed is Greyhound.

 

Andy Escobar
Andy has been at Rose City since June 2006. Every job Andy has ever had has been working with animals. Andy’s hobbies include hiking, fishing, camping, and backpacking. Andy has five cats – Fungus, Shiba, Bandit, Sophie, and Thomas.  Aside from cats, Andy also loves Tibetan Mastiffs – but his favorite animal is the sloth.

Tomas Mendoza
Thomas Tomascame to Rose City in January 2008. His hobbies include basketball, chess, and cooking with his wife Christina. Thomas has a female Terrier mix, Carnitas, and Cilantro, a male Domestic Short Hair who he adopted from Rose City. Thomas’s favorite breed is the English Bulldog, but his favorite animals are frogs – like the “Pacman” frog from South America.

Apryl Dowse
Apryl Aprylhas been at Rose City since 2003. Apryl attended Mt. San Antonio College’s RVT program. She raises and shows Golden Retrievers and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. She also has two cats, Snickers and Peanut. In her spare time, Apryl likes to shop, sew, and garden. She also loves Disneyland. Apryl would love to have a Koala Bear!

Kim Rinehardt
Kim Kim Rinehardt is a swim technician for Rose City Vet Hospital. She has extensive knowledge in gentle dog training and grooming, and owns a training/grooming business. She also competes in agility with her dogs. Kim also trained in swimming dogs with special needs as well as healthy animals for recreation.

Arlene Gillo, LAc
Dr. Dr. GilloArlene Gillo is an acupuncturist who graduated summa cum laude from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2000. Arlene is also certified with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and is certified as a canine massage therapist.

 

William W. Strickland, DC
Dr. William W. Strickland, D.C.Strickland has a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College-Los Angeles where he is also an assistant professor. He has been working with animals holistically since the inception of Rose City Veterinary Hospital.

 

Margaret Rudoy
MargaretMargaret is a California state board Registered Veterinary Technician, who has worked in the veterinary field for over ten years. She completed advanced training and is certified in Canine Rehabilitation Therapy from the University of Tennessee’s CCRP program.

Her special interest is working with animals with paralysis and end of life care. She lives with her husband, Jeff, and a menagerie of rescued animals.

Terry Grove
Terry Terry, Trekker and Chillybegan working at Rose City in May 2008. She has a Rottweiler named Chilly, and Trekker, a Border Collie. She also has several cats (Sid Vicious, Stevie, Pinto Bean, etc…). In her spare time, Terry is involved in dog training and obedience competitions. In addition to dogs, Terry also loves horses.
